Tropical RDA Coil in Bristol: the compare shortlist
Tropical in Bristol: 22 units tested over 9 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
What tropical costs in Bristol
Tropical RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.9 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical RDA really costs in Bristol
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a RDA running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested tropical in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle. Shipping of nicotine to Bristol runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
How much does a RDA cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.9 per 10 ml liquid plus £31 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does tropical in a RDA last?
In Bristol we measured 9 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
