Tropical pen device Coil in Bristol: the deals shortlist
Tropical in Bristol: 18 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Tropical in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical pen device really costs in Bristol
The honest read on tropical: 18 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested tropical in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tropical in Bristol survives.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should tropical start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Is tropical legal to sell in the UK?
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
