How we tested Tropical 30 ml shortfill here
A tropical 30 ml shortfill from the value options in Bristol costs about £3.6 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Ordering into Bristol usually means waiting 2–4 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: tropical in Bristol works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical 30 ml shortfill really costs in Bristol
The honest read on tropical: 6 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested tropical in a 30 ml shortfill
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £34 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £3.6 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tropical in Bristol survives.
- Buying the cheapest 30 ml shortfill available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for tropical in Bristol must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
How long does tropical in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In Bristol we measured 4 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a 30 ml shortfill cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £3.6 per 10 ml liquid plus £34 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
