Salted squonk mod Coil in Bristol: the guide shortlist
Salted in Bristol: 18 units tested over 9 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
What the label on Salted is allowed to say
Most people searching Coil in Bristol are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
A salted squonk mod from the starter options in Bristol costs about £1.75 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: salted in Bristol works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted squonk mod really costs in Bristol
If you are looking at salted in Bristol, the first question is not strength. It is whether the squonk mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested salted in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where salted goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here

UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
