Salted squonk mod Coil in Bristol: the flat shortlist
Salted in Bristol: 24 units tested over 7 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
How we tested Salted squonk mod here
Most people searching Coil in Bristol are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Salted sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: salted in Bristol works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted squonk mod really costs in Bristol
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £1.61 per 10 ml.
How we tested salted in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where salted goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised £56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £1.61 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
