Plum pen device Coil in Bristol: the flat shortlist
Plum in Bristol: 17 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
How to tell a good pen device from a repack
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.23 per 10 ml.
Plum in Bristol reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested plum in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
Where plum goes wrong
- Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Bristol survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
