Plain sub-ohm kit Coil in Bristol: the budget shortlist
Plain in Bristol: 21 units tested over 2 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Coil life, liquid cost and the plain habit
We run plain the same way in Bristol: same sub-ohm kit, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Most people searching Coil in Bristol are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: plain in Bristol works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain sub-ohm kit really costs in Bristol
Plain in a sub-ohm kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested plain in a sub-ohm kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where plain goes wrong
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Bristol survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.

| Entry kit | £51 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | £2.58 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
How long does plain in a sub-ohm kit last?
In Bristol we measured 2 to 21 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plain the budget price and the premium price can sit within £2.58 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
