Mint pen device Coil in Bristol: the cheap shortlist
Mint in Bristol: 18 units tested over 8 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Delivery, returns and what 2–4 business days really means
Mint in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Mint prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £1.72 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long mint tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mint pen device really costs in Bristol
A mint pen device from the cheapest options in Bristol costs about £1.72 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested mint in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mint bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a mint bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where mint goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Treating the advertised £45 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £1.72 per 10 ml.
- Mixing mint with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for mint in Bristol must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £1.72 per 10 ml liquid plus £45 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does mint taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the mint blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On mint the budget price and the premium price can sit within £1.72 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
