What the label on Lime is allowed to say
Lime in Bristol reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Lime in Bristol reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long lime tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a lime pen device really costs in Bristol
A lime pen device from the online options in Bristol costs about £2.32 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested lime in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every lime bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Batch code and production date, so a lime bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where lime goes wrong
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why lime tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does lime taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the lime blend itself harsh.
How long does lime in a pen device last?
In Bristol we measured 9 to 9 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.32 per 10 ml liquid plus £44 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
