Licorice squonk mod Coil in Bristol: the order shortlist
Licorice in Bristol: 8 units tested over 2 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
How to tell a good squonk mod from a repack
Licorice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.68 per 10 ml.
We run licorice the same way in Bristol: same squonk mod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a licorice squonk mod really costs in Bristol
Licorice in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested licorice in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here

UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.

Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
